Hey /lit/ it's my first time on this board.

I'd like to ask you guys what books are very insightful, philosophic, political, - books that in general make you think about life and everything?

i suggest Tuesdays with morey(spelling) to start you off, that book has alot of life topics in each section to point you what you are truly interested in, unless its fantasy. In which case i can not help you

I always pick up the Discourses of Epictetus as a sort of thought provoking, get off your ass a pursue excellence sort of book

celestine prophecy you say? then read a book by the dalai lama. He has numerous books. as far as the guns, germs, and steel goes thats more of a book the history channel would suggest so read more informational books then. You have a very broad selection to choose from
