19692251 No.19692251 [Reply] [Original]

Just finished it. Thank you anons, for your jokes and comments, they really kept me going through it. At about chapter 60, I didn't think I would finish, but this boards additions kept me going, and what glorious last chapters. Truly a living part of heaven. Now you can make fun of me for being a fag and shit. And to all anons who haven't read it, go read it.

Can you upload it to libgen pweeze?

I stopped reading the additions at chapter 12 or so, it was mostly stupid memery, which doesn't work in written fromat.

idk, they were fun asides, which definitely helped me get through the slog of the middle chapters.

And some of the endnotes were actually super helpful, and maybe 1/4 of the footnotes were just facts and explanations, so none of it was unwelcome

Well done for finding a way to feel superior

>> No.19692682

Why are you on this board if you don't like reading? I would assume it's to feel superior. Do you feel superior for having read Moby-Dick? Why read Moby-Dick when you hated it and the only reason you could finish it was because of the little dopamine rush you got when you read a funny meme footnote?

I enjoy reading, and I loved Moby Dick. Please kill yourself at the earliest possible convenience.

Glad you powered through to the end anon, and found it worthwhile. Melville is one of the greats. Don't let the assholes like >>19692644

>Melville is one of the greats
Apparently he isn't because manchildren like OP need the word NIGGER as a footnote on every page to make the reading tolerable.

>> No.19693185

Stop shilling this. I would rather see shilling for actual /lit/-produced content like the magazines or Hypersphere than low-effort literary vandalism like this. It should tell you all you need to know that you (and maybe one other collaborator) are the only people posting about it.

Bro, it's been in the public domain for over a century.
You can get it anywhere.
Project Gutenberg. Archive .org. They all have it.

nigger you werent supposed to actually read it. especially for your first moby dick reading. you tainted your experience of a masterpiece for some stupid memes. most people making the footnotes didnt even read the book.
