He said it directly in the post: "Isn't the point of reading enjoyment?" I personally think so, but only in the sense that you get enjoyment from the intellectual stimulation and growth that reading provides, not because reading is superficially entertaining like a car chase or a dumb comedy movie that makes you laugh.
If he thinks the latter type of enjoyment is what reading's all about, then I guess it makes sense to read superficially entertaining books about dragon's and overcooked drama.

OP, redditors are retarded, we have been over this already.

This pisses me off though. So many people are just so stupid yet so arrogant.

I hope is a shitpost, as the Prince and Art of War are both below 200 pages and written as short and concise manuals and are extremely easy reads, so they can be comfortably read in a single evening.
At least I cope so, as a fellow Malazan fan.

Kinda like me when it comes to the hobbit, although it isn't my absolute favorite and is probably the peak of kids/ya lit, it's still a book I absolutely adore and reread as an adult.
The metaphysics part on the other hand really had me scratching my head.

It's not that they're oppressed it's the question of whether or not it's moral to oppress these subsets of the population. Western society agrees that it's ethical to oppress criminals and those who break the everchanging code of ethics which governs Western society.

Honestly i don’t know if I’ll ever have kids if I can’t get a good stable career that earns lots also I’m not great genetic stock, I’m pretty sure I’ve got some form of spectrum disorder and wouldn’t want to pass that on to a kid considering how miserable my life has been on the whole.
If I found a very intelligent and reasonably good looking wife to cancel out my traits it might be worth it but I don’t really have a way to attract one apart from very mild good looks and a potentially good career in cs.

Just give up. It's what most men have done, and what most men will continue to do. You can't swim against the cultural current, the family you want for yourself isn't something you can achieve at this point in the zeitgeist. Any female will be polyamorous, pansexual or trans - they'll play with you for a bit, then dump you. Anons think money is attractive to women, and it can be, but women are really attracted to themselves and their self-concept.
