No, writing while depressed (In my opinion) usually ends up with you having written something teenage and angsty, whether you intend it to or not.

When you are depressed, you tend to think endlessly about yourself and of your situation, and self absorption often transfers into work, where upon you'll read it later, hate it and then kill yourself because you suck.
