What's after death? What are we living towards? What are we looking forward to? Books or anything about this? This thread can be moved to /x/ or /his/ but I don't care. I want answers.

For what am I alive and what do I look forward to, if anything after death?

I am genuine and serious with this. I am not shilling for anything, and am here to understand. I gain nothing ridiculing anyway. I'm just bothered is all...

In fact, I'm ready to hear even /x/ tier answers. I don't care. I'm not here to ridicule anyone because I want to have a genuine discussion on this, or at least set myself straight. What exactly do we have to look forward to after death, and for what is it that we live? A whole systematic proof is preferable however optional. Again, I'm not here to ridicule anyone, I just want to know how people address this. The type of answer I don't however like is "just live bro there's only one life." The topic is of course more complicated.

The question of our mortality and the afterlife is the biggest most unaddressed and most ignored elephant, rather wooly mammoth in the room. I want it addressed. Any people brave enough to do so I respect.

After biophysical cessation one's soul enters into Purgatory, and, either: becomes embraced by Sofia's wise love, and greeted by one's anima/animus, and/or friend/s, and/or fellow/s, or: undergoes penance for selfconsciously having chosen to live without, and/or against, love; following either case, one may choose to, either: incarnate again, or: remain in Purgatory, awaiting to be judged with justice by Jesus Christ at the end of the world; especially carnistic souls become impelled by the false vainglorious light of the Demiourgos, which, due to their blindness, recycles them via reincarnation; especially virtuous souls are sent directly to Paradise.

The abovementioned regards what is universal; the process itself is mystically unique to the person , destiny —cordiology—, and fate —chronology—, of each individual.

Nobody knows

Those who do claim to know, say that there is an afterlife of some kind. Every religion says something different about it. I like Buddhism which says that there are spirits and gods, but even they have finite lifespans, and you've already been everything from a maggot to a king to the literal Christian God and everything in between

Well, an answer to the transporter problem would go a long way. You're likely not to get one anytime soon.

If consciousness can have a sense of continuity on a different substrate (not your dead-ass brain), then something might happen.

If your brain meat was the one temporal local instance of (You), then you go down with it.

Its safely unknowable. All depends if the "next possible moment" of your algorithms can be expressed as continuing your subjective feeling in any way.

Read Ian Stevenson. Also read his biography, Old Souls by Tom shroder. Really excellent bit of detective work. Read journeys out of the body by Robert Monroe. Also read his biography, The Journey of Robert Monroe by Ronald Russell.
