You can't use tripcodes AND have a meaningful discussion on this site unless you are very very careful and build up a good reputation. This is not helping build a good reputation. People have knee-jerk reactions to tripcode-users, everyone knows that. Anons see it as attention-whoring, and this comic helps reinforce that.

tl;dr: post as anon or become a much better poster if you want people to actually respond to you.

4chan has always been full of the crap you mentioned in your first post. It gets better sometimes, and then it gets worse than it was before. I've been here for years. This is how it has always been, more or less. A slow spiral into the toilet with bright spots (and a unique culture and voice) that make this site worth visiting.
