I hope you don't think these are criticisms of Stirner's ideas. According to Stirner considerations of brutality and insanity are irrelevant. So to reproach his thought as "brutal and totally insane," in addition to being factually incorrect (Stirner did not advocate brutality or insanity, and in fact it would have been inconsistent for him to do so), begs the question.

People are possessed by "fixed" ideas...binding their free will, and self-actualization. Stirner's book was a type of exorcism.

It starts off really strong. But then it gets kind of repetive and dull. And some of the racist metaphors are cringe worthy.

Stirner himself warns about a misinterpretation of those racist metaphors. He's juts like trying to make some kind of chronological axis, like Marx and Nietzsche did after him (and Hegel before).

Oh boy, Marx sure was butthurt after his attacks on communism. I read St. Max by Marx, the whole thing barely qualifies as criticism, more like whining.
