Name (1) book

>> No.19586125

I've read two recently. Killing Commendatore by Haruki Murakami, where the protagonist is a painter but most of the thought process is clearly from Murakami's own experiences as a writer. A Burnt-Out Case by Graham Greene, where the protagonist is a world famous architect known for works that are considered important to Catholics. Although in the second case it is done with a lot of self awareness.

There are quite a lot of examples where an author that has been famous for a while writes about a character who experiences much the same things except that he isn't an author.
