The other religious traditions appeal to people with a different kind of sentiment and preferences, even if both people agree with the traditionalist school. Allah does swear by His creation in the Qur'an numerous times. I don't think this is a controversial position in Islam. It's just that this language "divine spark" isn't really used because Muslims don't see the world the same way Christians do. For a Muslim, the world was created simply to test mankind. For a Christian, the world was created simply because He loved it, as well as mankind. Muslims think that the world has only a teleological purpose and will be destroyed before Judgement day and replaced with something else, as if it was a dirty towel.
