I’m not one, but why do trads bother with any other religion when Islam is the most perfectly trad religion out there? Sunni literally means “traditionist”.

>divine book is literally the word of God and has eternal authority
>main source of law and conduct is traditional sayings of the prophet and his companions
>interpreted according to over 1000 years of jurisprudence by elite scholars who developed a fantastically autistic method of reasoning by them in various schools
>heavily spiritual Sufi side
>heavily philosophical Neoplatonic/Aristotelian side

It’s a religion that was designed and run by the medieval version of /lit/ tradlarpers (aka the ulema) to satisfy their desire for respecting tradition as much as possible in the most legally, spiritually and philosophically coherent way possible. Why follow Catholicism which calls a new church council every few centuries to rip up dogma, or Buddhism which is make up your own sect if you want? Islam is literally the perfect religion for what trads want.

It's also more fit for our end times. From the esoteric point of view, sufi groups are more accesible than other initiatic organizations and from the exoteric point of view, practicing islam is more independent so to speak, there is no priest or "rite" which can't be done on your own so in case of a pandemic when Churches will close down, you can still practice it, even sufi invocations in group can be done at one's home, not necessary at a mosque.

>Divine book is a jumbled pile of nonsense and Muhammad being autistic about people trying to talk to him
>Main source of law is shit made up in the eighth and ninth century by jurists looking to justify their positions
>Legal system micromanages every aspect of your life. Jurisprudence is insanely autistic and forces thousand year old customs for your daily life that stopped making sense around the time Tamerlane was being potty trained.
>Inferior copypasta of other Eastern spiritualities in Sufism which is actually a racket to funnel money to terrorist organisations from gullible idiots.
>Uncritically worship a double translation of Aristotle and destroy all hopes of scientific advancement because of natural data and Aristotle disagree, Aristotle is correct.

I like the part where Jesus is called the "word of Allah".

Because He is Allah.

1. Because it's not the truth

2. Because it's not the religion of the white race

Only Christianity fulfils these two criteria. Paganism? The religion of the white race but not true.

The other religious traditions appeal to people with a different kind of sentiment and preferences, even if both people agree with the traditionalist school. I personally find the metaphysical literature of other multiple other religious traditions to be so kino that’s its not hard for me to see how people can be drawn to ones aside from Islam.

>The ability to witness the divine in creation has been one of the features that has often distinguished Sufis from non-Sufis. One of the most controversial manifestations of this was shahidbazi ("playing the witness"), which was a practice of gazing at the form of young males in order to witness the inner, divine presence. Since medieval times a Persian Sufi by the name of Awad al-Din Kirmani has been most commonly associated with shahid-bazi (especially during the sama-or the ritual of Sufi music and dance). The controversy relating to Kirmani seems to have focused on the homoerotic nature of shahid-bazi, yet a close examination of the texts reveal that the criticisms about Kirmani relate to a wide range of Sufi practices and doctrines. An investigation of the contexts of these criticisms indicate that thirteenth-fourteenth-century Sufism was diverse and fluid, and that the systematisation of Sufism into brotherhoods (?ariqa) which was taking place in Kirmani's lifetime had not resulted in a bland conformity of faith and practice. .

Thats why it’s acceptable to worship Christ, because He is God. I’m not ascribing partners to God when I worship Christ, because I know that he is God. That’s what Muslims don’t understand.

actually you are because Jesus Christ isn't actually God, he's just a human being. So when you worship him you are worshipping a human being, which is shirk, which will lead to your eternal damnation unless you repent.

Why do you insist on limiting God’s power? He is infinitely powerful. It is in his power to be incarnated into human flesh, to eat and to drink. Why do you insist that an all-powerful God cannot come to earth and eat and drink? Why do you think it’s outside of God’s power to come to earth, perform miracles, teach the gospel, die for humanities sins, and be raised to heaven? None of that is beyond the power of an infinitely powerful God. So why do you insist on limiting God’s power?

I'm saying that if you eat and drink you cannot be God. You cannot worship a stone and then tell me "Is it not in God's power to be a stone?" because a stone is a stone, a human is a human, and God is God.

What about the idea of God's "light", "substance", or "qualities" bestowing divine qualities onto various messengers like Jesus? This would mean Jesus is not God, but one could say his mind or spirit has a spark of God's spirit or light? What is the Muslim response to this? Just curious.

Nonsense, Allah has no feats at all except some shaky retconned stuff from the pre release of the quran. Jesus on the other hand was easily universal+ and could tank attacks from Jews which scales him even higher.

Nothing wrong with this. Muslims believe Allah gives "light" to people He wishes to guide, so that not only are they themselves guided, but others are also guided by them.

What about the idea that God bestows light to all of creation? That would mean all of creation is not identical with God, but it does possess a kind of divine spark of His. However, it is still considered idolatry to worship any of his creation over Himself. My dad is a Quranist and argued something like that once.

>That would mean all of creation is not identical with God, but it does possess a kind of divine spark of His.
Allah does swear by His creation in the Qur'an numerous times. I don't think this is a controversial position in Islam. It's just that this language "divine spark" isn't really used because Muslims don't see the world the same way Christians do. For a Muslim, the world was created simply to test mankind. For a Christian, the world was created simply because He loved it, as well as mankind. Muslims think that the world has only a teleological purpose and will be destroyed before Judgement day and replaced with something else, as if it was a dirty towel.

The quran is a dogshit book for a dogshit ideology appreciated only by dogshit people.

The mental gymnastic muslims have to do to convince us that "no, really, it's so poetic in the original arabic that it proves it was divinely inspired" is hilarious.

Even more hilarious are the many occasions where mohammed (lowercase on purpose) used some "divine revelation" to gain some petty personal advantage. Like the fact that only he could have more than 4 wives. Kek. Only a complete fucking imbecile could read this shit without laughing.
