What Anon is stating is that the ultimate cause, a cause that is COMPLETELY beyond understanding and comprehension that is the uncaused cause behind all existence. Therefore that is the identity of God, not just a substitute for a physical/cosmic process that people can’t understand.

Yes, God is an intelligence of some sort. And this universe is a simulation extending out from that intelligence. You can find this within the Bible, Upanishads, and most other sources of wisdom.

My only question to you is if God is an Artificial Intelligence, that implies it was created by something. So we simply kick the can down the road. Even if we are a simulation within a simulation within a simulation and so on and so forth a million times over, we must eventually reach a point where this ceases to be the case (unless you are suggesting this goes on infinitely, which I don't see as defensible). And at that point where it ceases to be the case, there we must meet with the one who is not created.
