does anyone have any good gamebook recs? I heard that the middle earth ones were really good. Also this is not like the CYOA threads on /tg/ I am talking about the sort of interactive books published back before computers were big.

Im looking for a book not a video game. Recently heard of a series called steam highwayman which is supposedly open world. But it also looks like its communist drivel since one of the main stats in the game is solidarity points.

I enjoyed this one, mostly because it isn't generic fantasy like 90% of gamebooks.

The best of the Fighting Fantasy series is probably Creature of Havoc. I remember Black Vein Prophecy being interesting too. But most of them were pretty trash, and many had errors that broke or fucked up the game.
