I'm consecutively making a video game on RPG Maker and writing a novel for that video game, in case one ends up being better than the other. Both are close to being finished, a little more with the game. It wouldn't hurt to publish both at the same time, right? I imagine that would actually help, if they turn out alright.

To add on that, I made my own music and art. I tried making it look as different from RPG Maker as possible, but the generic menu interface can't be helped since I don't know how to code for shit.

Yeah I think publishing the novel after the game/movie has a negative viewpoint so at the same time is minimum imo if you want prestige for both. That being said you should probably put more effort into one or the other.
