I just re read it and HOLY FUCK it was like scared scripture.

It's pretty fucking huge but somehow every single detail, every phrase seems to have a whole world behind it.

I'm fully aroused. I haven't enjoyed something this much in years.

I am never watching the movie, the book is too good. I was excited to see the new hollywood version too.

/lit/ do yourself a favour and check it out, the audiobook version is also great.

you're right, it fully deserves all the high praise it gets. it completely overshadows all other sci fi the way LotR mogs all high fantasy. I actually only read the first book back in high school (20 years ago) and just started reading the rest of the series. I'm currently on CoD and it's amazingly good, and Messiah even outdid the first book for me.
