Nah, it will come out just fine but it needs a lower pressure and many bars run it high for the busy times, dumping the foam is quicker and cheaper than a slow tap. It is also possible she just blew the keg or it was a brand new keg, both spit foam. Beers like Guinness are not meamt for pressurized kegs, supposed to be casks.
