This chap >>19262065 has it right on the nose. I like Kat because she's a cute, normal-looking, girl-next-door kind of girl (who was probably "the shy one" in high school) who just happens to care deeply about something I'm interested in. I don't give a shit about 99% of what she reads, she's not particularly funny, she doesn't make enlightening comments, she doesn't shake her tits in the camera. All this aside, something about her is simply magnetic. She seems like an approachable person. She's the archetypical "hahaha I met my wife in a bookstore" type. It's a pastiche /lit/ meme but it still gets me every time. She also looks/presents really similar to a girl I had a crush on in university. I had a few classes with her but never worked up to talking to her (beyond offering her a piece of paper ONCE). I didn't realize how oneitis-stricken I was until covid shut down my school, I graduated online, and never saw her again. It's more than likely that I'm projecting my feelings for that girl onto Kat the booktuber. Sue me.

I just watched some of her YT videos, just to get an idea, and I can tell you, you're projecting so hard it's unreal. Forget that uni chick.
First thing I noticed, is that she seems like a BIG EXTROVERT. Shy people would never become popular youtubers anyway.
Then, you say that you like that she "cares deeply about something you're interested in" but then you say "I don't care what she reads" then what is it? If she reads garbage, then why watch her reviews and ramblings about shitty romantic and youth novels, no one cares about except females with awful lit taste?
She also probably thinks high of herself, and like all women, is in a constant need of attention...
Guys, you could find better gals in your local library. Trust me.

>Forget that uni chick
I'd love to. Easier said than done. I haven't seen her in almost two years (and I accept that I'll never see her again) and I still think about her all the time. At least a dozen times per week. I spoke a total of 10 words to her and I can't get her out of my head. Whenever you ask a sad-sack old guy for advice, you're likely to hear something along the lines of "don't be falling in love as she's walking away". I did, and it was a horrible mistake. I'm not going to kill myself over this but I'm unlikely to forget how I never took a chance. Thread theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tthIHXUsPs
>she seems like a BIG EXTROVERT. Shy people would never become popular youtubers anyway
I don't think this is necessarily true. It's much easier to be comfortable or "extroverted" when you're talking to a camera.
>Then, you say that you like that she "cares deeply about something you're interested in" but then you say "I don't care what she reads" then what is it?
I meant "reading books" broadly. I don't care about the specific books she reads, but appreciate that we both are into reading. I'm not trying to dab on her because she reads shit.
>She also probably thinks high of herself, and like all women, is in a constant need of attention...
Probably true, yes.
>Guys, you could find better gals in your local library. Trust me.
