this is an extremely reductive take and leaves out a lot of the nuisances of eva or for that matter any media that has a depiction of mental illness or the human condition, this leave out evas focus on the internals of shinjis mind, the reason he is the way he is, while I disagree with even using categorizations of mental illness for characters because I also believe it is reductive, shinji does not act because he posses the trait of avoidant personality disorder, he acts the way he does due to his interactions with the world and specifically his father, this might just show it self similarly to how apd does

Hobbes wrote the book Leviathan, the graphic in the gif is not Hobbes, but The leviathian Hobbes was talking about. The smaller guy is either Locke or Rousseau who proposed different theories about the "natural state of man" and his relation to society. Short story, Hobbes believed the natural staee of man was perpetual war, as total freedom would include the freedom to dom and attempt to dom others diectly in adition to all else and that humans would necissarily have to be in contact and cannot be indiviguized from society. While Locke proposed the natural state of man to be one of peace, an indivigual indiviguized from society and would only seek out others to mate. Thus no concept of property since there is no freedom to be inhibited by other creatures who have the capacity to understand freedom in an idealistic sense.
