Here's my actual opinion on it, having read about half of it so far and having read all of HA: It's not great. HA was exciting 'cause it tapped into the whole "manic white guy" energy that surrounds this place. This one is a bit on the bland side 'cause it goes to the well on that again, but in a seemingly less creative way. We see a lot of the same ideas (raw dairy, being handsome and detached, fucking women). Essentially, Ma brings no new ideas to the table. HA was a ripoff of American Psycho to begin with, but in a more rant-based fashion. This one is just an American Psycho ripoff through and through. I admire Ma's gall, and some of the jokes do really come off well, but ultimately, it's an immature, self-aggrandizing book that lacks the artistry and sheen to justify itself.

i read it recently and enjoyed it greatly
ngl the first half of the book was just amazing
it had it peak somewhat short after the pages of drawings but was still engaging until the last page.
scruffy at parts maybe but overall i got what i had hoped to get from it and more

did you add parts to the new released BAS? as it was somewhat longer than the pdf i had lying around of it

it's a good book, liked HA a little better but the nutritional appendix in the back and the more poetic prose of Ma near the end really sweetened it. this book is invaluable if you're a self doubting male who wants to change his life.

3/10. A disappointment after HA which was a 7 or 8/10. Lacked the humor of the original, and the narrative could have been better. Like, how do you fuck up making a story about surfers taking over Florida both unfun and uninteresting?

Mike attempted to put more prose in this one but doesn't have the ability to actually write prose. Instead, the excess words bloat up the book.

The dialogue is trash. I mean really bad. No human being would ever talk the way the characters do.

Mike's opinions are also dogshit in this one. Mike sounds like a vegan whenever he talks about raw milk, just won't shut the fuck up about it. At least HA had the anti-gluten rant as like the last page of the book.

Mike's anti-shower stance is retarded too. It sounds like a child complaining that mom made him take a shower.

Overall, a disappointment. Fails to live up to HA in both humor and ideas. And Mike, if you're reading this, take a shower you smelly motherfucker.
