The Modern Survival Retreat by Ragnar Benson
The Lost Ways by Claude Davis Sr

Crafting:
The Minimalist Wood Worker
The Ashley Book of Knots (expensive might too much information)
The Art of Knotting and Splicing

Difficult stuff but ultimately game changers worthwhile.

Great technical author of Austraya: Paul Nooncree Hasluck

You should have the ability to fashion your own handtools and use them so you can ascend and descend the tech tree from Primitive to retail.
There is liberal arts of science and philisophical inquiry and nonliberal arts of economics and technics. Ted K is the best broad viewer for the former and reading the writings of Inventors is good for the latter.

I avoid anything that is marketed as DEADLY or SURVIVAL. Dead giveaway the book is a catch all clickbait instead of a niche well supplied fund of knowledge. If it has to use SURVIVAL it's like saying "very" very very very very often to make a point no more important. This I gathered from Ragnar Benson's values in Modern Survival Retreat. It's not about these abstruse contrivances but adequately assessing threat, response, and timeline.
