all you need to do is buy and follow the instructions to strip/convert. In any case, it's easy to do and there's no reason we all shouldn't purchase a book, after extensively searching and trying to find to no avail, and sharing it. It's a buy 1 get everything else free type of deal. If no other kind anon has initiated the process, by the time I have received my Kindle, I will purchase at least one book that can't be found online and hope it's just the beginning of a never-ending pile of ebooks that can't otherwise be found online.

You can both purchase from B&N - which is definitely the advantage of Nook over Kindle as it offers over a 1mil+ more ebooks in the epub format without having to strip anything and it is easily converted - or Amazon which offers ebooks in .azw format and has to at least be stripped of DRM.

.....and therefore we all should get an ereader/Amazon for PC, if for nothing else, but to make books that would not otherwise be available, for free, online. Just check ebay, bid and eventually you will get a good deal. Hell, you can get a brand new Kindle from amazon - if you do not mind special offers ie "commercials" - for $114. It includes wifi. The other Kindle - the one that include 3g - is unnecessary if you have internet and easy access to wifi as the only reason you will ever need 3G is to buy a book online. Anyways...

it's not like that at all and i'm not sure that it is based on that book. however, it is jap lit and is likely not a very good interpretation - 1. 2 - if sansho the bailiff is indeed an adaptation of sanshiro, when i say masterpiece, i mean masterpiece. that means the movie, in this case, is probably better than the book. mizoguchi was king. and kurosawa. and bresson. gonna' be hard to read a book after anything they adapted.

Use the file dialog button to select the plugin's zip file (K4MobiDeDRM_v03.1_plugin.zip - inside the archive, in the Calibre_Plugins folder) and click the "Add" button. Then click on the "Yes" button in the warning dialog that appears. A Confirmation dialog appears that says the plugin has been installed. Click "Apply" and close the Preferences page.
Now add the e-books to your Calibre library, the plug-in should decode them on-the-fly. Locate the folder where Calibre keeps your e-books and look for the file you’ve just imported. You could also Convert books from Calibre menu to any other supported format.

okay, so drm, as far as i know, can only be stripped by the person that originally purchased it if you by directly for you kindle device. you then need to follow instructions in first or second posts.

if you buy through kindle for pc, nothing else needs to be done. rather than an azw (encrypted mobi), they just give you a mobi file.

does b&n encrypt their files with drm, too? if not - and i don't think they do - i think it's probably better to buy from them as they have a mil+ more books, anyways.
