Other than "Call of the Crocodile" what books could be considered "The Room" of literature?

Yea waldun is based. His stuff isn’t quite as bonkers as CotC though. Definitely a contender. I would say CotC is more so the room for pulp fiction type books. Whereas Waldun is a little more on the serious side

Call of the Crocodile is not The Room, no matter how badly Frank Gardner wants us to think it is. What makes The Room and Tommy Wiseau so endearing and bizarre is the genuine emotion and effort put into the work. What makes Call of the Crocodile so bad is the lack of care or effort on behalf of the writer.

I know the guy on discord. He has an ego like The Room guy and view his books as masterpieces. It's nearly identical to The Room honestly in terms of the reaction.

I haven't even read Faggot Gardener's books.

Slander. Call of the Crocodile is superb and not like The Room. You plebs just don't understand true art.

My Immortal was a parody fanfiction. By contrast The Room was a genuine attempt which Tommy Weisau later tried to pretend was ironic.

There probably can never be a 1:1 equivalent because of the disparity of effort and expense between film production and book writing. The Room cost a lot to produce. 300-page works of fiction all cost about the same. So there's no novel you can point to and say "this is garbage but it's sincere and the author poured a disproportionate fortune into it."

>>18978844
Oh Call of the Crocodile is 1000% sincere. That's what makes it so fascinating. Memes aside it comes off as dead-fucking series. Which is why the parallels to the room are frequently drawn.

>> No.18978858

>>18978856
Correction "Dead-fucking serious. Not "series." Anyway you get my point as anons on here constantly point out.
