lit please reccomend me a book, i really have trouble finding new books to read.
90% of the time i try reading a couple of pages then i drop it cause im just not into it.
Im looking for something suitable for my age( late 20s), cool, fiction but not fantasy or sci-fi, so a novel. something set in modern time. something about a loner traversing social setting in his 20s, but has to be cool. Something like Pynchon, but less brainy and simpler sentences.
I like russian realism but got bored of it.

REMINDER: Waldun wrote his latest opus at 20. If you're not making short stories after highschool, you won't make it. FACTS!!

Try real life adventure first:
> Papillon - Henri Charrière
>Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - Hunter S Thompson
Finish those and by then you can explore more topics

You've heard about phenomenology of spirit? Even though the name looks like it's some hard philosophy book, it's very easy and enjoyable to read. Why I am mentioning that is especially because it hooks you with early premise on discovering humans soul. Look it up anon. It's a great book, not only the story but also a great intro in philosophy.

Maybe Steppenwolf? Easy to read and follow. Very enjoyable. Great characters.

Or the crime and punishment.

see, this is what i have problem with.
why do writers always have to write about degenerate, obscene stuff.
i just want something normal and cozy

how is a 15 year prison experience something you got out of my description?

Hunter Thompson is close to what im looking for, except with younger protagonist who's a inbetweener, not a complete drug infused lunatic in his 30s
