First, you have to understand how much the intelligencia hate an original thought. So the question isn't do you become a psued or intellectual, but rather do you dare to think originally. this anon said. None of them are smarter they're full of shit, and the ones that arent were just good in their field and for some reason were hailed as intellectual. You shouldnt want to be written in books anyway. But if you see all of this and still want to be one, just get a PhD and say whatever the highest bidder wants you to say. Pretty easy honestly

I only got into philosophy recently, but what was supposed to be me educating myself in order to gain knowledge and learn how to think only became an endless and useless endeavour to remember as many philosopher's names, overly complicated metaphysical theories I couldn't care less about, and which names those overly complicated metaphysical theories I couldn't care less about were associated with. At some point I realised how retarded I was being and started ignoring anything I thought was useless or uninteresting. So to answer your question, you become a pseud once you start learning things just for the sake of learning them instead of because it interests or benefits you. Unless siting Plato's Theory of Forms to sound smart at a dinner table is somehow useful.
