This is an image of Maria Orsic, a medium of the Vril and Thule Societies, occult secret societies of pre-WW2 Germany which planted the seeds for the Third Reich's fascination with the occult. Again, this is somewhat apocryphal and you're not likely to find it in a history textbook or discussed in a classroom, precisely because it's so strange.

Anyway, these beings then supposedly channeled information to her about how to build advanced spacecraft and aircraft. Also, they claimed that, as "Aryan" aliens, they were the ones who had created Sumerian (Sum-Aryan) civilization. You probably think I'm a clown, and if you Google this, you'll get some obscure blog posts "debunking" it, but listen to this: in WW2, "foo fighters" (an archaic term for what we now call flying saucers, UFOs, etc.) really were seen around Nazi Germany and over the Pacific Theater (around Japan, Germany's ally at the time, in the other words).

Then, after the war ended, the United States smuggled over Nazi German scientists and intelligence agents as part of Operation Paperclip. Most famously, Wernher von Braun (and this is in Pynchon's Gravity's Rainbow), who had worked on V2 rockets in Nazi Germany, was instrumental in starting NASA. The Nazi German intelligence apparatus was also crucial in starting the American OSS, the precursor to the CIA. Project MK-Ultra (which some historians like Walter Bowart, who wrote some kooky books on mind control and its history, argue stands for "Mind Kontrolle" Ultra, from the German language if that isn't clear) had a precedent in experiments done in the camps on brainwashing and torturing concentration camp inmates, including by feeding them hallucinogenic drugs like mescaline -- in the camps during WW2, not during MK-Ultra, which was LSD-based, mainly.
