My friend and his wife (they're both white) recently had a black child, and I was thinking of giving them this book as a present. however I'm afraid it might be racially insensitive and perhaps seen as a white male (me) trying to lecture a POC about a problem that only affect POCs. maybe it's better to let the black child figure out those things for him/her/xerself, guided by other POC, rather than his/hers/xers white parents or parents white friend?
