Japanese authors write novels based on TTRPGs all the time and they’re immensely popular but unfortunately, they have this concept of nakama over there so not only are characters extremely important but the main hero/heroine’s group is extremely important as well. Individualistic heroes aren’t nearly as common or popular.

If you can create one character, then you can create multiple characters to form a party. Then just run the campaign with yourself as all characters. Just play each character objectively and try not to pick sides. Also determine if each character is working for the benefit of themselves, or the benefit of the team, as this will be a big influence on the actions they take.

TTRPG denotes a group activity with multiple friends, one taking a role of the "GM", a sort of overseer who directs the flow of the game's narrative and interprets the rules as he sees fits, and the players themselves. Hence my confusion at the existence of a "solo" TTRPG.

Can I play a table top game with you? I actually really want to get into D&D type stuff but I have no friends that are into it.

I even have a character I already thought up. It’s probably a bit basic but it’s a half elf half human fisher boy. His dad was some legendary human pirate but he left when he was little, so he just lives with his mom on the coast. He longs to go on an adventure but his mom won’t let him because he’s too young.

I don’t know if this counts as literature but they Adventure Time based a lot of its episodes off table top sessions the writers had.

1)Find a local group in your area, there are more than you think
2)Join a virtual group, still preferable if it's your area, it's hard to schedule a game with different time zones

To answer OP
I know that Chronicles of Lodoss War (manga/anime) is based on a DnD campaign he played with his frens

It was when I was in middle school and early highschool. Plus I actually think the mid series was decent even now. Early seasons were made for children (as it probably should’ve been the whole time) and later seasons were made for sjw s.o.y.boys and carpet munching lesbos, but middle seasons were genuinely pretty well done I thought.

I'm convinced that being constantly exposed to images of highly idealized, completely unattainable young women from a young age is extremely unhealthy for boys and men, especially for young men who fail to successfully form relationships with women in real life.
It highjacks your normal healthy desires and compels you to withdraw from reality and into fantasies that will never be realized. Your desire shouldn't be directed at representations of someone who doesn't even know you exist.
It also perverts your desires by setting an Olympian, completely unattainable, standard of what you find desirable. You'll never find a woman that can measure up to your fantasies. Stop cultivating them.

that sounds sad as fuck. not the part about having no friends, that's normal, but the delusion implicit in someone thinking their garbage solo ttrpg wank can serve as a novel written for the consumption of an audience.
