Once upon a time, there was a stupid young man who posted recurring threads on the internet soliciting short story ideas. He was quiet persistent about it, and he usually used tapirs, one of the ugliest animals in all of creation, for his starter images.

One day, a good man broke into the stupid man's residence and shot him dead. No one posted the short story threads after that. And the world was better for it.

There's this one that I'm working on right now, about some guy who goes into a bookstore and is hassled by pic related who is working there. The Assoomer tells him that the book he picked out is garbage despite never having read it.

The MC is incredulous that someone would make such an assumption. The Assoomer then recommends some shitty romance novel and the MC says it's garbage because it has a shirtless cowboy on the cover, making him a hypocrite.

The MC then complains to the manager, who just really doesn't care about anything. The MC then confronts the Assoomer, who threatens him with a large revolver. The MC runs out into the street and is hit by a car but not injured. The assoomer walks outside and immediately assooms that the MC is dead. The MC gets up and walks away.

Anyway I'm sick of it, it's dumb.

It's about an American man, your perfect American Liberal stereotype.
His introduction shows him as a complete cringe case, checking pretty much every box, but it's discreet enough so that any other case of jarring Liberal wouldn't get it.
He gets the retarded idea of going to the Brazilian Amazon to help fight the deforestation and a Fascist Presidente.
In less than a week he learns of the Chaos that Brasil truly is, not black and white as his National Media portrays.
Gets lost on the forest while escaping a kidnapping.
Tries to get back to civilisation while learning that nature is uncaring.
Eventually he a Savage tribe, but he soon notices they performing a cannibalistic ritual of a couple like him that just then tried to do the very same thing he was going to.
At night there is no peace.
We see another day what he learned and changed surviving the Amazon.
Overcoming the Forest; in a surrealist way he becomes one with it: at night he lays down, being consumed one by one of each forest animal, Amazonia's living Forest Floor consume his hardest, most resisting parts.
Finally, a native comes crawling on the floor, following his late footsteps, finding the American's last surviving part, the one trinket he's been carrying all this time.
The native picks it up, get ups, puts it on.
