Yeah but unless you consider life to always have existed and to always exist in some form in the future of this universe there are points in time where this transformation model does not subsist. This also means that if all life is life transformed, you're having the same amount of life (souls, whatever) always at all time, but this cannot be since life does grow and multiply as conditions become stable, and this cannot mean you're "sucking" life out of some other solar system either because these solar systems developed at a similar pace.
The only way this model is always consistent is if you consider all matter to be life, because it has potential for life.
