If it for getting to know her shit and triggering people you are probably fine sticking to the wikipedia page and maybe the John Galt monologue. I read atlas shrugged in Uni as a book I selected from a list to read and wrote an essay about for a scholarship. I enjoyed it desu. It wasnt fantastic in a literary sense but I did enjoy the theme and ideas in it. I thought it was a bit pretentious in acting like if a handful of industrial magnates up and left humanity would just be fucked.

These elites think they are some gods or some shit when in reality if all the top CEOs died tomorrow they could be replaced within a few days just like any average sandwich maker at Subway.

Stirner himself was a capitalist simp (The guy translated Say and Smith), and Rand mentions and liked him. Hegel and Stirner both upheld private property as over anything communal.

The Fountainhead is solid. The characters can feel robotic at times, but it is a very heartfelt story about individual expression.

Yes, if you're interested.

HOWEVER, most people's understanding of Rand is formed of their relationship with Atlas Shrugged, which more than likely they've read at a young age. This then leads to them having an incomplete, somewhat warped view of Rand's philosophy (especially as she isn't laying it out plainly in her novels). Important to remember that Rand wanted to be a playwright more than she wanted to be a philosopher, and as such her creative writing took precedence, yet her prose isn't really good enough to fully articulate what she really means (although it's a useful vehicle for it).

My suggestion is to read Anthem, you can finish it in a single day, listen to her interviews (she spoke often enough) and also to read The Virtue of Selfishness. Once you get what she's trying to show the reader, Fountainhead/Atlas make a lot more sense and are better reads.
