Does reading books make you intellectual or is it just a means of entertainment?

>> No.18700547

Both.
How do you not know this?

Proof of being an intellectual is being able to use what you read in conversation, creation, or work. Simply reading things without remembering or actually engaging with a work is just as bad as watching anime all day.

if you read in order to put on a social status, then you are wasting your time.

For the average 2021 reader (a woman) it's neither, they just take instagram selfies with the book and put it on a shelf.

If books make you intellectual, and you can answer this so assertively, then how do you not understand your know-it-all persona, demonstrated here in your snarky reply (as ever) betrays your point? Maybe because you're not actually an intellectual and just a good little slave mind.

Reading is a distraction as with anything else.
it is how you think that matetrs and no book will help a brainlet supersede his limitations.
A lot of brainlets read a lot and just quote other peoples thoughts

How do you use what you read in conversation?
