Name one, just one, tv comedy show or just comedy show (not played on tv) that you really like.

I know this is /lit/, but humor is priceless and so it's acting, and you know that /tv/ knows shit.

seinfeld, nothing else comes close. FG Simp. and SP are great but inconsistent, as are the talk shows, Colberts being the best though. A laugh is a laugh, its consistency, or: laughs per minute that matter.

I used to go on the Cheezburger network for instant lulz, failbook was my fav. But those sights totally suck now so I havent been getting to many lulz lately and I dont really care, I am getting more from my time now and spending 1 hour or so a day just laughing at dumb internet shit was kind of depressing....

Yeahhhhh probably. KitH is up there, but I think Monty Python wins out because Chapman and Cleese are titans of comedic energy on a kind of an unbeatable level. They're just excellent, heroic in how funny they are.

But KitH is a really good show. Top 5 sketch shows: Monty Python, KitH, Mr Show, Saturday Night Live (good periods), Not the Nine O Clock News.

It's kind of interesting how all the good comedy writing is on TV these days

There was a long stretch there where the initial novelty appeal of Judd Apatow movies had worn off but they just kept on putting out lots and lots of movies with no script beyond "get two manchildren in one room; let them riff off each other"

>> No.1863457

I've been asking myself if there are any good comedy writing on books, but i get no answer, cause i'm kind of a newfag in literature.

So i would really appreciate some recommendations.

I'll agree with this wholeheartedly. I did not expect to like Regular Show at all, but goddamn, it might be my favorite cartoon on American TV (until Futurama comes back this week, but even then, they are two radically different types of shows).
