It should be the inverse. Separation of church and state is a shitty deal for religious institutions because they have to submit themselves to the law of the state, which makes it impossible for someone to practice their faith to its fullest without breaking the law. Instead, religions must have their own standing militias to protect themselves from the tyranny of the State.
