Lawlets of /lit/ share your experiences, techniques, thoughts, horror stories etc. in law. Books on cross-examination, statement crafting, negotiation techniques, advocacy in general.

Of all things upon this damned Earth, there is nothing I hate more than the law, lawyers, judges, prosecutors, public defendants, criminals, the wrongfully accused, legislators, law theoreticians, philosophers of law, public buildings dedicated to law-related activities and anyone, absolutely anyone who, from among all of the green and pleasant areas of knowledge created, developed and perfected by man, decides to choose for his intellectual life that which we call 'Legal Studies'.

I wanna go to lawschool but im worried bros. I've been told that its an increasingly saturated field and if you want to succeed you need to be broadly above average. I took a practice Lsat unprepared and got a 154, and then after a month of study I took another and got a 153! The fact I havnt improved even a little is disheartening, and in the back of my mind it has me thinking I may be making a mistake.

Don't be such self-loathing lawlets. What this undead field needs is someone to complete Kelsen and Hart's project

It's a mistake. I haven't met a single lawyer (me included) who would recommend someone go to law school.
