Do you prefer when action sequences are written minimalisticly or detailed and at length?

Minimalist. I don't really care about people punching each other, swords clashing, and guns being shot. A paragraph or two ought to suffice. I'm more interested more in characters and plot.

It depends. Take a sword fight for example. If it's going to be fantastical and the author is just making shit up and doesn't actually know anything about sword fighting, then I'd rather him be minimal about it so he doesn't break the suspension of disbelief. But if it's going to be a more realistic and the author legitimately knows something about how sword fighting works then I'd like him to go into more detail, as it would be interesting and also add verisimilitude.
