people who believe in god are just traumatised . Imagine being born into the universe, see it's complexity, but because it doesn't look like daddy, it causes them to have a mental breakdown.

You don’t care about what’s in your shit, your footprints, your skin flakes, stray hairs falling out, or your toenail or fingernail trimmings - humans beings constantly produce refuse without caring about it.

Who’s to say you’re not god’s refuse? It’s not like you’d be able to prove if you were or weren’t either way.

I'd say that he exists, but it makes absolutely no difference if we believe/worship him.
We know GOD only through his absence.

Who says you were created from nothing? For all you know your multiversal timeline and everyone you knew and loved and everything that could have been for you and them, was a particularly interesting bit of mold on the god-child’s sandwich, in a infinite recurse where he too, prays to his “god”.

The Christian myth is dumb, it’s the kind of clean smiley simple god a bunch of desert people would come up with before they invent antibiotics.

Uhh, anon, The Selfish Gene doesn't refute anything, it merely posits a new perspective for the theory of evolution. It actually provides more evidence for the teleological proof of God than less, but worst case scenario it just isn't relevant to the question of God at all.

Someone hasn't read Bulgakov

>> No.18470427

He cannot be proved or disproved otherwise we would not be saved through faith. He doesn't want spiritually homosexual faustian labcoats to be saved. If he did, he would've implanted the Bible in our DNA in binary code or sth. similiar, sth. for which no other explanation but the existence of God would suffice. He didn't, so clearly if he exists, the way to find him is not through study of the material world or even logical induction but the via a desire in yourself to believe in him. That's called faith and when you have it and are willing to stand for it even against the most powerful earthly detractors you are saved.

>the fact that i can't prove what I believe is the reason you should believe me
That's honestly always been the nail in the coffin for Christianity, at least for me. All these conviniences, oh you can't take *that* interpretation on face value because um, old testament or different time. If bad things happen to people it's because God wasn't in the lives of those people and if they were religious it's because he wanted to test them. If my ideas stop making sense at any point that's actually a sign that they make sense and should be believed. How can Christians honestly expect to control people who aren't farmers from medieval times when even the smallest amount of critical thought causes their ideas to unravel?

>> No.18470666

There hasn't been a book written yet but there really should be which includes about 5 arguments.
1. Primary Cause and Necessary-Contingent Being
2. Teleological or Fine-Tuning
3. Argument for the soul (hard problem of consciousness. brain is insufficient explanation of consciousness.
4. Abiogenesis (there are many problems with the chemical origin of life.
5. Over-tuning in Human evolution (human beings are overly adapted beyond what random evolution would entail)

>> No.18470685

I take everything face value friend. And while salvation, once attained, can never be lost, it's still possible (inevitable even) to sin, perhaps even murder, once you are saved. But God will see to it that you're punished on this Earth and you will not go to hell.
>>the fact that i can't prove what I believe is the reason you should believe me
That's not what I believe nor what I said, is it? You should believe in God because you want to. You cannot enter his flock wielding a testtube and a microscope.
>"The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile."

>How can Christians honestly expect to control people
Your inability to conceive of any other reason for why one would want someone else to share his beliefs makes this very difficult.

That's some pretty poor reading comprehension you've got there. So much for critical thought.
