All pursuits are equally worthless.
Enjoy your pursuit of science, a study which provides evidence that the human race will most likely go extinct and its meager accomplishments occur in a universe so vast the idea that those accomplishments will mean anything outside of ourselves is ridiculous in a way which clearly evokes the root term "ridicule."

That's not at all what I said before and you know it. I said don't judge other people for going into fields for the money, there's a purpose behind it too.
It coincides with my point in this thread. All pursuits are equally worthless. Going for money is perfectly fine. So is going for passions, whatever those passions may be.

I don't really want to do anything worthwhile. I think I'll just loaf around, living life fairly inexpensively. Maybe become a wandering jew, idk. But I don't feel like having a good job, and buying a new bigger goddamn car every year.

I'll enjoy my time on Earth, rather than doing something I don't like for money. It's trite, but money isn't everything. The best things in life are free.

This means that I'll get your jobs, your girlfriends, your whatever the fuck I want all the while making it seem effortless, simply because I have the supposedly useless talent of reading you, or any other situation like a text. You still weren't being accurate about what it was I actually said, and even if it was accurate, it still wouldn't contradict what I said in this thread. People saying something different isn't hypocrisy, it's changing their mind, there's a very real difference between the two. Hypocrisy is stating things one way and acting upon things in a contradictory fashion. Changing your mind is stating things one way, and then stating them another way later. Hypocrisy is dependent upon being simultaneous, something many young people don't understand in their naivete.

I've never met an "artist" with anything interesting to say that couldn't be said quicker and easier just saying it. I read memoirs, I read history books, I read about STEM. Gay, fake stories can be interesting. I mean, Dune was pretty interesting, but then it was just about a bunch of real ideas. But in the end, fiction is just for shits and giggles. You don't learn anything worthwhile reading it that you couldn't not reading it. Plus you stupid fuckers read 1984 and come out of it going "LOL FUK U I DON'T WANT CCTV" or you read Brave New World and go "LOL BIG PHARMA BAD." It's like you don't even care. It's like all you want to do is have cool tattoos and listen to cool bands and get laid a lot, and then also pretend you're doing something more interesting than people who do all that with just big-screen TVs and cool cars. I mean, seriously: you guys are tools. Pic related, it's you.

By the Cure, or post-punk in general?
Disintegration and Pornography are often considered The Cure's best. But they have a lot of good stuff.

My favorite post-punk bands- and albums are Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures and Closer, most things by The Fall, and Wire - especially their first three, but the rest of their discography is harshly underrated as well -, and Public Image Ltd.'s Metal Box. Among others. I fucking love this genre.
