It might be compatible in how transgenderism is the unconscious possessing someone's mind and body, in other words that their ego broke via a neurotic condition and has been taken over by an unconscious image, like the anima/ animus.
I also think in the "two spirit" sense of the word, but in its original meaning, not how the gender specials have adopted it. A medicine man might be two spirit in that he can adopt or utilize the unconscious image of the opposite gender for healing spells or for spiritual quests, not for dressing up like a faggot and projecting a clownish and blasphemous image of the opposite sex that the tribe must adopt as a new normative.
