Y'know, I think there's a whole thing where Ellis fans think they're doing something deep by pouring buckets of blood all over their manuscripts to make up for their lack of talent. This is just dressed up serial-killer shock for high school teens, but most of those teens at least realize the popcorn slasher movies are just that. This pose of "oh this book is actually critiquing our society" is some bogusness. This guy is just a bored rich kid and embodies the very decadence he claims to oppose, and if he had his way we'd all be living in Marzabotto. He just doesn't like being reigned in.

I like it and there are a lot of good parts, didn't understand a thing though. I know it's about accelerationism I just didn't get the overall point or "plot". I remember it being a sort of daily entry thing leading up to some sort of meeting with his fellow terrorist buddies in the woods or something like that, but I didn't follow it all that much.
