>John Williams is a goddamn literary Chad.
Right? I really enjoyed Stoner, and I'm so pleasantly surprised by how different Augustus is from it. I'm excited to read Butcher's Crossing later on, given how good the other two books are.

>>18352793
It's alright. Some parts are brilliant, others I find a bit more difficult to get into - Kierkegaard is a difficult one for me. I don't know if it's specifically a translation thing (I'm ESL, but I don't really have problems with any other author) or if it's harder to get his point of view as an atheist. I liked Fear and Trembling, even if, the question of Faith seems specially for me to grasp.

>>18352808
Well, I -am- reading those three at the same time. When I get done with any of them I'm hopping on to either of the following two. Storm of Steel is still to arrive by mail, so I'm thinking of going with Hemingway, at any rate.

>>18352848
My thing is to keep them diverse and at a (reasonably) low number of works. So generally a mix of non-fiction, prose and/or poetry. Another option is to mix up languages so the works are clearly separate in my mind.
