Not much to it lol. Normally when I chat with girls (especially in a manner I'd consider flirtatious), its with friends or friends of friends, people who I know things about and who I know are comfortable with me. This girl was cute and all, but she didn't know me at all. Still, I wanted to get to know her. Once day we had group work and I introduced myself and asked her to work with me. She agreed, and then in the course of the next couple meetings we became somewhat acquainted with one another. Finally I got her social media from her and we texted for a bit (this is where things turned from school to personal things). Unfortunately for my romantic endeavors, COVID happened and she went back to Israel (and I went home), and things never really picked back up. Still, I consider it a win because it was the first time since high school that I had done something like this, and it helped boost my confidence greatly when it comes to this sphere of life.

During my second semester of indoctrination holocaust classes in 8th grade which in America hijacks your english classes to teach propaganda about the shoah, I had a similar experience. We read Anne Frank, Weisels Night, watched Spielberg's Shindlers List, watched band of brothers, and learned in general the narrative. At the end of this entire semester dedicated to the Shoah, despite living in a place where there are no jews (mormon and mexican territory), we were to write a final paper in which the prompt was what did you learn from this semester. I was doing poorly thanks to autism and a female teacher incapable of teaching a boy. So my parents ruined my entire weekend and I had to source and rewrite everything as an attempt to get a better grade. I mentioned more history than had been taught including mendel and the argentinean expats. When all the papers were handed back I was not given mine. I recieved a C and was told it was college level. I asked why, if it was college level, I recieved a C. She answered that I had not answered the prompt of what I had learned this semester. I said how, I said even more than was expected, I gave facts and cited sources. She said because I was supposed to just say I learned not to discriminate and that judging entire groups is morally bad. Instead now I hate the government and do not trust anything they say.

The next year, my freshman year, my english teacher was a man. He explained what the women couldn't, all you have to do to write a paper interpreting a book is make things up and provide evidence. The women always just told me to say what I felt not knowing that young boys think that's fucking dumb. I did well in english after Mr. LaMonica told me the secret was bullshitting and rhetoric. There's a hack to the system and it's for everyone even kind of intelligent to become a lawyer, start their own firm, and make their living filing suits against giant coporations under fee shifting statutes.
