I hope not.

My father was a subscriber of the national review and a fan of Buckley when he was young and in college. He now absolutely regrets this and is midly annoyed at the fact I know about Buckley and the national review so I tease him when he brings up his political opinions in staunch oppsoition to Buckley.

I fear I one day will be teased by my children just the same.

Is ur father a former Conservative turned Liberal?

Why does he regret it?

>> No.18282247

>>18281783
He regrets mainly his "lets be tough on the commies" disposition.
Was a big militarist who worked in the arms industry (after his father got him in) selling to foreign countries then worked in the DoD and he had a tentative but firm support for Reagan.
He feels that this mentality ruined america for future generations and feels guilty for having been a supportive part in it.

yes. He voted Reagan and now volunteers for the greens in Germany and never wants to go to the US again.
