It's a romance novel about a prostitute with a borderline psychopathic pimp who winds up falling in love with a client who is secretly gay. She then has to balance her own feelings which will never be satisfied with her desire to do what is best for him. Eventually, she helps her gay crush find the love of his life, all while still working for the same abusive pimp.

It's a 4-part political thriller about a fanatic cultist attempting to perform a coup in the United States. His coup backfires and a second civil war begins. Although he fails in his attempt to conquer the US, he manages to break the Union's back, and is able to claim a large portion of the Bible Belt for himself, while other politicians and warlords take over the rest. It inspired many spinoffs of stories of other eccentric politicians, and the foot-soldiers who had to do the dirty work.

An American WW2 vet suffers from PTSD returns to the states; he is a war hero for destroying an entire tunnel complex with his flamethrower- he remembers faces of the Japanese he was burning alive. But there is something else aswell that pesters his fragile mind- he can’t tell.

He attempts to reintegrate into normal civillian life as an office worker, but he suffers from complete disinterest in everything.

At his widely televised medal ceremony, looking at the rows of soldiers in the seating infront of him, he has a complete mental breakdown and falls into a coma.

During the coma he remembers: At a occupied japanese village, witnessing a squad of fellow troops r*ping women, he sets them alight with his flamethrower and the whole village burns down- killing dozens of locals and US troops alike.

All of the screaming faces, of the people writhing in pain meshed together. But no longer. He remembers vividly now, each face, the feeling, the sound.

After awakening at the hospital in the middle of the night, he sneaks out to seek the one thing that still gives him life.

He breaks into a nearby armory, and puts the fueltank on his back one final time.

As for my book title,

A speculative realist novel set in a hypercapitalist dystopia in Vietnam in the near future. White expat man leaves the west for better job prospects in hyperasia, works for a business journal writing about bug crypto and spends his weekends fucking former third worlder now first worlder viet bitcoin heiresses who use him as a colonial lapdog and trophy boyfriend. Descent into madness an ulimately ironic kurtz-esque nightmare sequence. Think Fanged Noumena x Houellebecq x apocalypse now

A neurodiverse young man is paralyzed by not having any real direction. He seeks to escape the hell of his own making by deliberately not getting over a girl who he has had no real contact with for years. His spiral is quiet, unheroic and steady. He botches his suicide after which he is placed in a mental institution. The last entry mentions the girl before collapsing into a tragic cesspool of babble. The entry ends with the schizoid passage "She shone like the sun, but it was night. There is night suns in the northpole. I got sunburns and frostbite."

The Devils Greatest Trick

Synopsis: In Nebraska, in the bottom of a deep dry well, is a metal box with nine red balls. They each weigh five pounds and are exactly three feet from one another. The ceiling of the well is twenty-five feet above, reaching up to the very sky. There is no escape for the souls within; but there might be an escape for those outside.

There’s something strange about Corby Fletcher that only emerges when he’s immersed in mathematics or writing equations on whiteboards for hours at a time. Then it becomes obvious: he’s a genius. Perhaps he’s not the only one, though.

It seems that people who come to be with Corby are somehow compelled by him to invite others into their circle. The strange thing is that this invitation doesn’t come out of the blue or without reason; they are invited in some kind of way, by an invisible hand or a voice — just like Corby himself — and then they decide whether to take the step. Corby believes that he has a gift that only a few people in the world possess, and his obsession with coming up with the right equations to describe the world around him is what fuels this power.

The Number Nine

In an earlier time, the number nine was often viewed as either evil or sacred. It was the astrological symbol for air and chaos, and referred to the way humans operate. Nine was also the number of fingers on a hand, as well as of rivers that flowed in straight paths. It was thought to be the perfect balance between "below" (nine planets) and "above" (the Sun) and the most natural number for them all.

Will Corby be able to keep the world from ending by dispelling nine?

"Eleven new writers delivered an edition that rocked with its creativity and innovation. The Devils Greatest Trick is a perfect example of what can be achieved when you have a group of writers who all think differently and work together, as they did during the writing of this book. It is a work of art that breathes originality, creativity and originality. The Devil’s Greatest Trick is a must read for the fans of the genre."―Marianne Andronache, Book Reviewer

"[The Devil's Greatest Trick] provides another example of the rising number of really creative writers putting out books that are simply terrific. There are a lot of really interesting people who write this stuff, and they're not being treated nearly as well as they should by the big publishing companies who basically cranked out the same book over and over. This is a really unique book, and I'm delighted to be part of it." — Charlaine Harris, Author

"The Devil's Greatest Trick contains some of the most extraordinary short fiction I have ever read...
