Hegel was a pity, necessity driven businessman, introducing whatever he could to save his university and himself from going broke.
Modern times do not follow his ideas, his legacy is ridden by desperate philosophers who can only succeed with word tricks, there was nothing new discovered out of his ideas for decades, he was indeed the most famous charlatan in the known philosophical world.
