I'm not religious but I want to read the Bible for its cultural significance. Regarding that I have a few questions:
1. Should I read the whole thing?
2. Which version would be preferable, KJV?

yes

reading it without context would be useless. get books on the history and cultural significance of the bible so you can make sense of it. i think KJV is the most poetic, but that's mostly cuz it's so old. which version doesn't really matter.

but if you want to be a big dog, read the torah and go be monsieur chouchani

If any clothing is contaminated with mildew—any woolen or linen clothing, 48any woven or knitted material of linen or wool, any leather or anything made of leather— 49and if the contamination in the clothing, or leather, or woven or knitted material, or any leather article, is greenish or reddish, it is a spreading mildew and must be shown to the priest. 50The priest is to examine the mildew and isolate the affected article for seven days. 51On the seventh day he is to examine it, and if the mildew has spread in the clothing, or the woven or knitted material, or the leather, whatever its use, it is a destructive mildew; the article is unclean. 52He must burn up the clothing, or the woven or knitted material of wool or linen, or any leather article that has the contamination in it, because the mildew is destructive; the article must be burned up.

I am an Atheist and I firmly KNOW that the world are fact. Because of This, I know that Religion is not real, , it has never fact. Nor... has it ever had any significance on our culture. MIND YOU... it used to influence our culture until Atheism came and replaced the past. I know this, for I are a dragon.

Don't read all of it. Read the Pentateuch, Joshua, Judges, 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings, 1 and 2 Chronicles, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, (Jonah for kicks), the Gospels, Acts, take a random sampling of a half dozen Pauline epistles, Hebrews, 1 Peter, 1 and 2 John, and Revelations

Same poster. In addition, it's a lot easier to read if you just accept that there are inconsistencies. The Bible was written by dozens of different people, then transcribed, then translated, so if it doesn't make sense, it's not your fault.

It's easily one of the best books in there and definitely the one I found most interesting (as a non-Abrahamic).

If OP's gonna read all of that, he might as well read the whole thing.

Also, I would recommend the New American Bible, just because it does away with a lot of the Elizabethan English that can take away from its flow. (Unless you're into that, I guess. I don't like it.)

NET Bible

It's available online and under constant revision. The annotations it provides are unbelievable. There are about five paragraphs written for each line of text.

you're welcome

I liked the parts between the end and the genesis of the book you could say.
