Basically these researchers discovered a way to properly translate the Bible from ancient Hebrew. Apparently the Bible was so massively mistranslated, to the point where we can't even trust the Bibles the Church is using to preach with.

>The group discovered that each letter is not a letter at all, but a full word, and what was believed to be a word, is actually a sentence like description, which supplies the definition of the word. With this discovery, each word can now be properly defined and the results are astounding.

>This means a word can no longer be disputed and swayed by doctrinal pressures

>If accurate, the findings will rewrite everything we presently believe about the scriptual beginnings of the Earth.

They have a site with some of their translations on it. Genesis sounds fucking freaky, instead of a "God" creating the universe, apparently a group if beings called "The Supreme Ones" created it all.

http://www.thechronicleproject.org/index.html

hell, they even understood the concept that the Moon merely reflects the sun's light, as opposed to the text we have now that claims the Moon IS a light.

>things we don't know:
>how to get a professional journalist on this
>their qualifications in linguistics

What we do know:
>the Bible has been heavily mistranslated, especially with the biased King James version that most if not all accept as canon
>A modern translation of Hebrew with this new knowledge will more than likely be more accurate than that of King James

all of this to be taken with a HUGE grain of salt

...that wasn't implied at all. In fact, the opposite of that is what is implied.

Sounds interesting, but they've only been researching it for three years, that doesn't fill me with confidence. They also admit to being pretty much laymen. Like I said though, interesting.

The last paragraph was the most intriguing, saying the origins of the language are now untracable.

Yeah, I imagine that if you took the ranting of a crazy Chinese tramp and fed it through Google translate, this is what you'd get.

>> No.1805885

Also: this whole premise makes no sense. Jesus and his New Testament buddies read the Old Testament in Hebrew, no? If their understanding was so radically different as to not have a singular god, what was the New Testament talking about?

This would fit in to the theory that the Israelis were actually polytheistic and that the reason they become monotheistic was due to a power grab by the priests of Yahweh

Doesn't actually matter, thinking about it... the end result is A GIANT CONSPIRACY TO HIDE THE TRUTH. It's just that the truth here is apparently that the Old Testament was written in a magical language that uses the same words as Hebrew but when read properly makes no fucking sense.
