When I look up each of the authors of the works on this chart, it turns out they are majority Marxist.
Was I memed into to taking the blindpill?

yes

I always see this chart shilled hard, yet to this day i have no idea what the blindpill is.

>> No.18012332

The Marxists have very insightful critiques of capitalism. I personally do not believe in their solutions, but their analyses have done a lot to shape my philosophy. That said, you were definitely memed.

>> No.18012341

>>18012332
They don't have solutions
Capitalism doesn't exist
It's a good way of giving a placebo to otherwise relatively intelligent people to compensate for other inadequacies. The truth is reading all those books won't change a damn thing or make you any happier.

From the subset of these that I've read, the theme is entertainment bad; stop using your free time to trick yourself into thinking you don't exist. This chart is propaganda but so is most entertainment.

Let's here a refutation. Please tell me why reading all this Marxist theory will take down the state kek and why it's not esoteric bullshit.

>> No.18012561

>>18012304
As >>18012332 said, the Marxists have very insightful critiques of capitalism.
Unfortunately, some of the picks in the blindpill were clearly ideologically motivated (such as The Work of Art in the Age of Technical Reproducibility, which was pathetically left-leaning [in the bad sense of the word]") and would be better of being replaced by better books, some Kaczinsky there, for instance, would be very good.
I wouldn't say you were memed, the blindpill is very useful once you get yourself used to its bitter taste.
>>18012341
I disagree. While there's no solution to capitalism except its death, The Shallows/Amusing Ourselves to Death/Capitalist Realism are life-changing books, especially if you change your habits after reading them; using less of the internet after reading the Shallows made me a much happier person and a much more effective reader/writer.

I propose to anons who've read the blindpill: let us remove the thrash and include more helpful/effective books. I believe that the message the blindpill sends and its recommendations are capable of making anons' lives better and making them better persons.

I’m not seeing talking to someone who says “Capitalism doesn’t exist”. I can also tell you’ve never read Marx based off that post.

>> No.18012587

>>18012562
Marxist theory is more than Marx, retard. Yes, capitalism does not exist materially, it's a construction to explain societies disposition. It's bad because of sentimental moral reasons not because of anything else.
Outside of the capitalism boogeyman the world is only bad because you're sad, captalism is only a thing because you feel compelled to criticize the world. Tell me what is so astounding about Das Kapital that I should skip my readings in order to read its entirety.
