He had another book called steps to an ecology of mind that’s good as well

What in particular are you interested in? The quick answer would be just to look into Cybernetics. (http://www.cybsoc.org/books.htm))
This field has many branches depending on if you're interested in social, physical, or cognitive systems.

What do you mean? Because it's the aesthetics of the American guilded age in the 21st century? Because it mixes old styles with contemporary riots?

No. That's because there's too much work on it. It tries too hard and I'm not falling for it.

I wish your thumb was up my ass while you're blowing me, butters.

It says the book is about "global justice movement" though I don't know what it means. help me out on this?

Also, butters, what do you think of DiEM25?

This seems interesting.

It's fun stuff. Some of it may be too technical if you're not mathematically oriented, but there's enough interdisciplinarity that you can find a vein of approach. Feel free to start a new thread if interested in specific topics. I usually lurk on this board and this is my general field of research so I'm available for further info.

Based, I have a PhD in theoretical physics and minor in complex systems and this book started it all. Not memeing. If you read it cover to cover you can almost immediately progress to Review of Modern Physics papers on complexity theory.

Anarchists are very creative people. It’s a fun cover and captures the slight humor of the author quite nicely. It’s a great read if the topic interests at all.

> DiEM25
Oh yeah. Chomsky said something about that. Looks very interesting

Donella Meadows, Thinking in Systems

Very easy to read, not overly technical, not too long, plenty of real world examples. Good introduction to systems thinking.

Now with regards to the success of people trying to implement these concepts in real life, you can look at the many complex models used to make projects about coronavirus spread, and just how accurate those predictions were.
