>That bittersweet feel when you finished a novel series and know there will never be more but are glad it had a good conlusion.

After hlf a year I finished the Grail Quest series of Bernard Cornwell and I still don't know how should I feel (I read other books inbetween).

You should feel thrilled that you can now begin the Sharpe series by Bernard Cornwell.

the point is Tolkien never intended the Lord of the Rings to be a series. It was intentionally meant to be one book.

You implied it was a book series, when in fact it was never meant to be one.

Not that it matters because Lord of the Rings actual content is drier than a Mexican's front lawn.

But those are like 15 books! Well... Better start soon than later. After all, none of his books have dissapointed me yet, not the King Arthur series and neither that one about the vikings.

Call me a troll if you want, but the one thing that separates me from a troll is that trolls don't tell the truth.

But I'm not that surprised. You're one of those brain dead idiots who eat up filler arcs and stories that go absolutely nowhere for hundreds and hundreds of pages.

>15 books.

More than that with the "Sharpe in india" prequels, but they're a lot shorter than the ones you've just read (I think).

JA Konrath gives alway all of his ebooks for free on his own site.

I read Fellowship up to Bilbo's party. Then I realized Tolkien likes going off on tangents too much and was too reliant on dialog.

Feel free to post your favorite passage from the series. I bet it's really drawn out and contrived.
