That's pretty smart especially if it's a multi day project and you worry you might forget something.
My confession is that I can only write consistently when I'm in love or obsessing over someone so I remember when I was writing my second and third book I think I didn't have an object of affection so I fapped to my openoffice document and fell in love with my work to get over that hump.
Got a page done a day doing that.

I took the female characters and mentally made my own fan fiction on how they'd be upset if I didn't finish their story and they'd share their love the more pages I completed and gave them lewd personalities they didn't have in canon. We'd do things like...hold h-hands and c-cuddle and more.
