The blockage of the Suez Canal is the most /lit/ event currently in the news. Due to some unforeseen and completely trivial act of fate, be it winds (anyone one else thinking of the first book of the Aeneid?) or a power outage, a boat is stuck in some measly canal with a minimum width of 174 ft. in the sticks of Egypt and if it were to remain, it would jeopardize the journey of nearly 10% of the world's transported goods (I have overtures to the Suez Crisis being a turning point in British imperial history in mind mixed with a few references to the Profumo affair, i.e. the entanglement of collapse in the political and private spheres). Am I right, /lit/?
