Theogony
Iliad
Odyssey
Aeneid
Metamorphosis

Yes the last two are Roman, but they still incorporate the same myths.

Look at all these midwits recommending the Iliad and the Odyssey, as if OP wasn't aware of their existence. They're not even texts on Greek mythology. They just use mythology.

Bad, don't mix Roman adaptations of Greek myths with the Greek myths.

tl;dr: OP, for comprehensive mythology knowledge, read Graves' book if you're too much of a pleb to read Pseudo-Apollodorus. For everything else, pic related. Avoid Edith Hamilton.

Fuck, I got filtered by the Graves' one. I can't bear to his myths interpretation.

Hamilton’s Mythology - easy read and gives you a good introduction to most myths.

Iliad - Essential and enjoyable Greek epic.

Odyssey - Better than Iliad but has to be read second.

Aeneid - More Roman but needed to complete the previous epics.

Metamorphoses - surprised no one has mentioned this. It’s excellent, and very easy to follow.

inb4 Greek not Roman, they are only different in name.

start with the classics, like the first two Percy Jackson series.

Pair Hamilton's mythology with Bulfinch's and you'll be set.
